When we first launched the 5-year strategy of building depth, building distance and building destiny last year, the theme was “Presenting everyone mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28). We envisage building depth through the three-fold strategy of the Word, prayer and ministry.

This year, 2012, DUMC’s strategy of Building Distance is through disciple-making and continual leadership development in a certain culture. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us to make disciples of all nations and in 2 Timothy 2:2 we are called to multiply leaders.

It is the dream of a transformed society – a transformed Malaysian society! A society totally changed and transformed by the power of God to fulfil His purpose and for His glory. Is it possible here in Malaysia? Can it be done? Will it be done? I would like to believe so and invite you to join me in seeking together to fulfil this dream.
