Dear Ps Daniel

I have 2 teenage girls, aged 14 and 16 respectively. For the past few years, I failed badly in terms of my quiet time and what more on journalling. I was most encouraged when my girls, directly said that I always started the BRP but I never acomplish a complete year of journalling. It woke me up and I took this chance to encourage them doing it with me - not to journal yet(as a start) but to at least to read the BRP daily and discuss about the scriptures we read.

We check on each other all the time and tried very hard to do BRP together, which is most challenging. Kids are loaded with homework and myself with work, but God is God all the time....

It still work! We are on track now for the very first time! At least for the first half of the year 2011(my very first time) All glory to God!

With no specific targets, but I pray that this will be a springboard for my girls to draw near to God, experiencing Him and for us to start journaling together real soon.

Praise the Lord

Good to have a blog going. Get's all of us to stay closer.Let's put the blog to use.

Regards to the delivery by Mr.Lim last weekend (20.2.2011) A part of his message struck a chord: some people working in the same office only learnt, over a cuppa, that they were Christians working in the same office - for years, they never knew.

Nothing against wearing crucifixes of loud T-shirts or shouting aloud our Christianess, but should not we be known as Christians by our acts, our loving nature, our language and our influence in our social circle? If people cannot even guess our Christ-like character, we should check how we are living our lives outside the church environment. After all, our Lord did call us to be Salt of the Earth - and if salt loses its saltiness... it is only good for throwing out and be trampled upon.

When this was shared with members of a home cell, immediate reaction is about the right to wearing crosses and need for formal declaration of faith. (sure hit a nerve there). I am not against such outward signs but I am asking whether we are living the life of saltiness - a life of influencing and changing society - to the extent the World recognizes us as a follower of Christ.

Dear Ps Daniel

Blessed to know that DUMC has a blog.
Thank you for the message on journaling. This is my 6th year of attending Bible Study Fellowship, I never had enough of God's word.

As it is written in Isaiah 40:8 (The word of God reliable and eternal is a message of hope for today).

Thank you for reminding me of the importance of journaling.

God Bless

A suggestion for DUMC: DAILY worship and prayer night

Good example: The Lord's church

http://spiritlessons.com/Documents/Babtize_by_Blazing_Fire/index.htm

"What amazed me is that the church is packed with prayer warriors starting at 9:30pm until 5:00 am. daily, 365 days a year. They are engaged in intercessory prayer. Every night there is powerful worship,
spiritual dance, sermons, the impartation of anointing fire, and much prayer. I have witnessed that Pastor Kim is taken to hell by the Lord at early dawn every day. The Lord Jesus wants him to experience the suffering and torment of hell because the Lord wants him to tell the world that hell is real. He was also taken to Heaven many times. The Lord grieves that today's churches do not believe in hell or, at best, take it lightly. This amazing book is a must-read for all Christians. Baptize by Blazing Fire will encourage you to overcome the spiritual battle as well as give you a wonderful foretaste of Heaven."

Yes, all things are possible with God. God's heart yearns to turn the people to Him, so that they will live lives that are blessed and fulfilled. What a wonderful vision for Malaysia, for 'without vision the people perish.'

Dear Lord, I am forever grateful to you for your sacrifice on the cross. As far as the east is from the west, so far have you removed my sins from me (Psalm 103:12). Help me to live a life that is holy and righteous before you all of my days. Give me a renewed heart and mind that in all that I do and say will be in accordance to Your perfect will and for Your glorious name.

I pray that we will so feel Your divine love that surrounds us, the love that will never let us go will bring us back – back to Your side, back to Your will, back to Your way. For though we all like sheep have gone astray, like sheep, we have missed Your path and chose our own way. Like sheep, O Lord, I pray we will return to Your fold. We pray for a powerful visitation of Your presence and Your Revival fire to sweep across our nation, Malaysia. We cry for healing for our land and for healing for people here of all races. Forgive us for our lackadaisical attitude toward prayer, our prejudices and our pursuit for our own self-gratification instead of helping the poor amongst us.

We seek Your for Your forgiveness, for the blindness of our hearts, for the wrong choices that have grieved you. With your healing comes restoration, so we pray in the mighty name of Jesus for your divine healing and deep conviction of hearts and minds that will truly transform this land for your honour and glory. We humbly open our hearts to you to receive a great miracle of grace. We thank You for the fresh, strong presence of Your Spirit that comes to bring us refreshment, cleansing, healing and perfect peace. In Jesus most powerful name, Amen.
