The Advance Of The Multifaceted Malaysian Cell Church

Date : 9-12 June 2011

Pr Dr Daniel Ho
Senior Pastor, Damansara Utama Methodist Church, PJ

Pr Dr Chew Weng Chee
Senior Pastor, Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB)KL

Pr Dr Philip Lyn
Senior Pastor, Skyline SIB, Kota Kinabalu

Pr Sam Surendran
Senior Pastor, Excel Point Community Church, Penang

In celebrating 15 years of the Malaysian Cell Church Conference, one key milestone is to evaluate the extent to which God has used the Cell Church to impact the nation and the nations of the world for Christ. Many of us are at various stages in our journey into the cell church while others of us are exploring the possibility of such implementation. Whatever stages we are in, there are many great stories to share.

At the 15th Malaysia Cell Church Conference, besides Pr Dr Daniel Ho, 3 key Senior Pastors will also share with us their churches’ journey into the cell church at the plenary sessions – both their successes and blessings as well as their challenges and difficulties: Pr Dr Chew Weng Chee, Senior Pastor of Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) KL, Pr Dr Philip Lyn, Senior Pastor of Skyline SIB Kota Kinabalu and Pr Sam Surendran, Senior Pastor of Excel Point Community Church Penang. While retaining the cell church at the heart of it, each church has evolved a certain uniqueness in their respective settings and has seen very significant advance and growth over the years.

The stories of these churches will enlarge our vision, excite our faith and extend our commitment to work towards greater influence and impact of our churches in our communities and nations. And as usual, there are a whole slew of workshops to help us in running a cell church with greater effectiveness. In celebrating 15 years of the Malaysian Cell Church Conference, one key milestone is to evaluate the extent to which God has used the Cell Church to impact the nation and the nations of the world for Christ.

Dear friends,

New Conference Dates: 10-13 June 2010

Thank you for signing up very early for our 14th Malaysia Cell Church which will be held next year. We look forward to seeing you and learning together from Pastor Dr Jorge Lopez of “Fraternidad Cristiana de Guatemala”. He founded the church in 1979 with only 20 members. Today they have grown to more than 12,000 members, making it one of the largest churches in Guatemala. This is the first time we will be having a speaker from South America for the conference.

I believe there will be many new insights and revelations of the Lord that we can expect to receive and I am really excited about this conference as we learn from this man of God. I am sure we will hear many wonderful stories of how he wrestles through the challenges of building and growing God’s church.

I am also writing to inform you that the conference has been shifted a week later. Our original dates were based on our best guess for 2010 June school holidays. However, we recently found out that the Ministry of Education has shifted the holidays a week later from the usual pattern. The new dates of the conference will therefore be 10-13 June 2010. I hope this does not cause any undue inconvenience to you. If it does, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you very much for your attention and understanding.

Richest blessings in the Name of our Lord,

Pastor Chris Kam
Conference Chairman
